Study on Make-up Torque of Threaded Connection of Tubing Hanger

The make-up torque for connecting the tubing hanger with the tubing proper is studied by means of rel- evant theoretic analysis and testing method. It is demonstrates via the studies that the tubing make-up torque as recom- mended by the supplier for thread connection of the tubing hanger is not suitable. To ensure the make-up position for the tubing hanger connection，the torque has to be increased；and the outside diameter of the tubing hanger obviously affects the make-up torque. Accordingly it is suggested to use the maximum torque for make-up of the tubing hanger.
