Abstract: Based on the summary of the development trend of the domestic pipe-rolling mill, it is pointed out that the Assel pipe mill with the rotary rolling process and the precision rolling pipe mill have been continuously reduced.Compared with the mandrel pipe mill in multi aspects, it is concluded that although the steel tube as produced by the rotary rolling mill is not so perfect in terms of its appearance, the mill has such obvious advantages as low production cost and high dimensional accuracy. Accordingly it is regarded that the future development orientation of the rotary rolling pipe mill covers such aspects as consistently tapping the advantages, further completing the process technology, developing distinctive medium and heavy wall steel tube products, and strengthening the production of the superior products, etc.
