Discussion on NACE Acceptance Specification for Hardness of Austenitic Stainless Steel

摘要: NACE MR 0175/ISO 15156要求奥氏体不锈钢材料硬度值≤22 HRC，但是由于固溶态奥氏体材料硬度值较低，在进行硬度试验时直观无法获得HRC的试验结果，通过查阅标准、测试标准硬度试块和试样的方法，得到不同方法获得的22 HRC对应的洛氏硬度值约为100 HRBW，认为“≤100 HRBW”可以作为NACE MR 0175/ISO 15156对奥氏体不锈钢材料硬度值“≤22 HRC”要求的替代方案。

Abstract: Though it is described under NACE MR 0175/ISO 15156 that the hardness value of the austenitic stainless steel must be ≤22 HRC，but due to the low hardness value of solid-solution austenitic material，the actual HRC test fails to get the required HRC value. By consulting the standard，and relevant methods for testing the standard hardness test block and sample methods，it is identified that the HRC values as resulted from different methods and corresponding to 22 HRC are approximately 100 HRBW，which leads to such a conclusion that“≤100 HRBW”can be used as an alternative to the above mentioned“≤22 HRC”as required under NACE MR 0175/ISO 15156 for the hardness value of the austenitic stainless steel.
