Development of Domestic Production Equipment and Process Technology for Mandrel Mill-made Steel Pipe

Detailed here in the paper are the equipment and technologies of the imported 2-roll MPM and the 3-roll PQF, and the development situation of the country’s self-designed and manufactured mandrel pipe mills. Also analyzed and summarized are the improvement, the innovation and the shortages associated with the development process of the said home-made mandrel pipe mill. Furthermore the future development trend of the equipment and process technology of the mandrel pipe mill are discussed, pointing out that the deep integration of the process technology with digitalization and intelligence will be the general development of the steel pipe-making industry.
