    • The cold-drawn steel tube is a rather difficult-to-handle category in steel product business. Introduced in the paper are the five general principles for management of planning of cold-drawn steel tube production under the market economic conditions, i. e. the principle of maximum benefit, the principle of proportional fixation, the principle of trend-forecast, the principle of giving priority to urgently-needed, difficult-to-produce, special and small-sized products and the principle of balanced production, which are of reference value to the management of planning for production by enterprises in the same circles.
