Abstract

Owing to modification of the stands and rolls, the stretch-reducing pipe mill located at Tianjin Municipal Seamless Steel Tube Plant has been capable of rolling hi-precision Φ127 mm and Φ121 mm pipes with mother pipes with maximum O.D of 133 mm (originally 118 mm). The grooves designed have been proven very effective through operation.
