Research on Manufacture Process for Nickel-base Alloy UNS N06600 Seamless Steel Tube for Heat Exchanger Service

Briefed in the paper are the main aspects concerning the nickel-base alloy UNS N06600 seamless steel tube for heat exchanger service,covering the basic properties,characteristics of the manufacture technolo-gy and the course of development of the manufacturing process for the said tube.The finally determined manufac-turing process is the process of"billet hot piercing with rotary rolling process + completely cold-rolling".The results of testing of the mechanical properties and microstructure analysis of the finished tube show that the nickel-base alloy UNS N06600 seamless steel tube as made by the above said manufacture process is up to relevant re-quirements as specified in Standard ASME SB 163.
