  • Based on analysis of the process of pipe cold-drawing plug's wear-caused failure with the Dointview of friction science, measures for surface strengthening of the said plug were made.Relevant plant operation with adoption of the said measures has proven that to strengthen the plug with wear-resistant alloy puddle welding process can bring about the most satisfactory wear-resis-tance of the plug, and consequently reduce the plug consumption pert pipes from seven pieces to three pieces. Therefore the surface strengthening process with wear-resistant alloy puddle welding is very promising.
